What we take care of
You do not need to deal with a different company at every stage.
One contact, in Japanese or English — Proxy Co.
We can manage the entire process from planning to delivery, or support only the stages you need.
We look for factories that match your product, target price, volume and quality requirements. We compare several candidates and verify their production capacity before recommending one.
From an idea or an existing product, we prepare specifications, select materials, adjust the design, arrange samples and revisions, and move into mass production. Small-lot production can also be discussed, depending on the project.
We negotiate directly with factories. We review materials, specifications and production methods and propose opportunities to reduce cost without compromising the agreed quality requirements.
Schedule control, communication with the factory, specification checks, problem solving and progress reporting are all handled by us.
We check quality before, during and after production as required. When a problem appears, we negotiate directly with the factory and follow through until it is corrected.
We translate the quality, packaging, labeling and inspection criteria expected by Japanese buyers into instructions the factory can actually work with.
We arrange packing, export, sea and air freight, import, customs clearance and delivery within Japan.
Quality issues, delays, wrong specifications, misunderstandings. We stand between the Japanese client and the overseas factory until the matter is resolved.
We bridge differences in language, business practices and expectations before they become problems.
Overseas manufacturing normally means dealing with the factory, a trading company, an inspection company, a forwarder and a customs broker.
We make it so that coordination is not your job.
The usual way
With Proxy Co.
More than sourcing. We coordinate overseas manufacturing from planning through delivery.
Strong in Asia. Connected worldwide, project by project.
China, Vietnam and Thailand form our primary manufacturing and sourcing network, managed from our base in Japan. Depending on the product, volume, quality requirements, cost and lead time, we also coordinate with partners in other regions.
China
Our main manufacturing network. OEM / ODM, product development, tooling, sampling, mass production, quality control and export.
Vietnam
An alternative production base for cost comparison, supply-chain diversification and OEM manufacturing.
Thailand
Manufacturing and sourcing through Thai manufacturers and suppliers.
Japan
Management Hub
Our head office and project management base. The point of contact in Japan, plus domestic sourcing and export support.

Other countries and regions can be covered through partner coordination, depending on the project.
We check each stage of production to prevent variation in quality, and translate the inspection criteria, labeling and packaging conditions required by Japanese buyers into terms the factory can follow.
Regular reports plus photos and video taken on site. You can confirm what has been done, and what is left, from anywhere.
We work with manufacturers and suppliers in our network across China, Vietnam and Thailand. Rather than forcing a product onto one factory, we choose again based on cost, quality and lead time.
Most trouble in overseas manufacturing comes from different assumptions rather than technical failure. Our on-the-ground partners close those gaps before they become problems.
Defects, delays, wrong specifications. Negotiating with the factory and getting it corrected is part of our work. Your contact does not change.
From writing the specification to correcting a problem after it happens.
Six stages of quality management.
We put the quality required on the Japanese side into a written specification. Inspection criteria, labeling and packaging conditions are documented and shared with the factory at this stage.
Samples are produced and revised until they are right. The pass / fail criteria for mass production are agreed by both sides before production starts.
Before mass production begins we check materials, processes and tooling. Stopping here is far cheaper than correcting a finished lot.
We check the line during production and share photos and video taken on site, so progress is visible from anywhere.
Goods are inspected against criteria agreed in advance: quantity, appearance, function, packaging and labeling.
If the criteria are not met, negotiating with the factory, confirming the cause and coordinating measures to prevent recurrence are, in principle, within the scope of our quality management work. If additional on-site work, re-inspection or third-party costs arise, we will explain the details and the cost in advance.
Inspection can also be commissioned on its own. If quality at a factory you already use is not stable, that is a perfectly good place to start.
The list below is an example, not a limit. For products that are not listed we check the specification, material, volume and quality requirements and tell you whether production is possible.
We are not limited to a fixed list of product categories. We start by finding out whether there is a factory and a method that can make what you want to make.
The specification does not have to be fixed. We start from the volume, target price and lead time you have in mind.
Tell us what you want to make, the volume, the target price and the lead time. Drawings or reference photos are welcome.
We work out where and how it can realistically be made. Sometimes the conclusion at this stage is that the project is not feasible under the current conditions.
We select factories that fit the requirements and obtain quotations, then present the cost and the plan after comparing them.
After the order is placed, sampling, mass production, quality control, export, import and delivery in Japan are managed by us — the eight stages listed at the top of this page.
The scope of work differs from project to project, so fees are quoted per project.
How we quote
Quoted individually, according to the project,
the product, the volume and the scope of work
A formal quotation is issued after the first meeting.
The initial consultation and preliminary feasibility discussion are free of charge. Where specific factory research, design and development, prototyping or on-site support is required, we confirm the content and provide a quotation in advance.
Business model classification (OEM / ODM / OBM), design and development support, factory matching, sample arrangement, production planning, inspection, export and import handling and monthly retainer management are combined according to the scope you actually need. Fees are quoted individually based on the product, volume, quality requirements and scope of work. Any chargeable work is quoted clearly in advance before it begins.
Your Bridge to Trusted Global Manufacturing.
Questions such as “can this product be made overseas?” or “is our current unit price reasonable?” are a good place to start. Even if the specification is not fixed, tell us the volume, target price and lead time you have in mind, and we will tell you what is realistic and how to get there.
